The lush South Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is known for its marine wealth with one of the greatest varieties of live coral along with some of the most scenic and exuberant beaches, with paradisiacal views and many options for water sports. All this attributes, specially its great ecological diversity, makes it a very sensible area that needs to be protected and managed. Azania Bungalows is actually located in front of Cocles Beach, referred to locally as the "Beach Break" because there is no coral reef here and the waves break directly on the beach, with a perfect spot for surfers on the north end and the cool sweet water of the Río Cocles to the south. Cocles Beach itself was awarded with the Blue Flag for ecological quality, and is one of the most popular beaches in the area. The other beaches near Playa Cocles are also beautiful and inviting. The lovely white sands, clear blue Caribbean sea, and rich greenery make this a favorite tourist spot.

We are located in front of Cocles Beach (awarded with the Costa Rican Government Blue Flag for clean beaches), 1,5 km south of Puerto Viejo of Talamanca.
What to do ?
Go explore Cahuita National Park, with a snorkeling session first and then hiking back along the beach through tropical forest… Or go visit Indigenous people in Bri Bri.
